While most of the staff has been in Sacramento, getting the #3 ready to ship back to Railtown, the remaining staff, plus a few folks from Sacramento, and some volunteers, have been up on the section house roof, trying to button down things before winter weather hits.
The section house is an historic residence on the property. One of the employees resides in the building, and provides 24-hour security for the site. But, it is also a significant historic structure on the property. Following historic restoration standards, the roof is being replaced in kind, which means cedar shingles.
