Waist Bearers

In the last few weeks, we’ve been working on odds and ends.  Including the waist bearer sheets.  These parts are instrumental in allowing the boiler to expand and contract without damage.  The waist bearers are attached to the frame, but not the boiler.  In this instance, we are using rivets to attach the waist bearers to the frame.
The waist bearers

Waist bearers are the two contact points between the boiler barrel and the chassis. We replaced the curved "L" bracket (arrow), but until last week had not completed the final attachment to the frame.
