In 1861 Samuel Clemens hopped aboard the Overland Stage to the Nevada Territory. His adventures and his rise to fame started there. On July 24th at 4PM, join Mark Twain and gold country fiddler and minstrel Dave Rainwater, as they share some of the humerous storeis, anecdotes and songs, and paint a unique picture of the life and times of the Gold Rush era. Featuring Mark Twain vividly portrayed by Pat Kaunert, and Dave Rainwater as. . .himself.
The event begins with stories on the lawn at 4PM, followed by a 5PM ride behind our historic 1922 Lima Shay steam locomotive and open air cars. On board, rub elbows with Mark Twain himself, and be entertained by minstrel Dave Rainwater.
